Website Transform Rural India
Transforming Rural India Foundation (TRIF) in partnership with the Department of Rural Development & Department of Panchayati Raj (GoMP) has instituted the Support Unit for Transform Rural Area (SUTRA) cell to support the district administration in transforming the lives of the poorest communities in Madhya Pradesh. The focus of the cell will be on developing the organisational, planning, and implementation capacities of large public programmes through Gram Panchayats in collaboration with community-based organisations supported by Madhya Pradesh Rajya Aaajevika Forum (MPSRLM). The cell will also leverage the PRI-CBO convergence model that is integrated with GPDP processes to intensify asset creation for poor families through MGNREGA investments to bring transformative social development outcomes. These district cells will be instituted within respective ZP offices to create quick demonstration models that can be scaled up across all the blocks in a particular district. The cell, under the leadership of CEO-ZP, will act as the coordinating, implementation and knowledge hub for the district, and facilitate regular engagement of the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development with other relevant departments at the district.
