**Position Overview:**
The District Lead will oversee program implementation and system strengthening at the district level, serving as the main point of contact for schools and local government officials. Reporting to the State Manager, this role involves coordinating field staff, managing relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring program goals are met efficiently.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Oversee program implementation, adhering to guidelines and budgets.
– Manage relationships with school, community, and government counterparts.
– Lead teacher training and capacity-building activities.
– Ensure timely delivery of materials and monitor program progress.
– Advocate for policies supporting literacy programs at district and state levels.
– Conduct field visits, review meetings, and provide feedback on implementation.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s Degree in education or social sciences; Master’s preferred.
– 5-8 years of relevant experience in education, preferably in non-profits.
– In-depth knowledge of language and reading practices.
– Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
– Proven track record of achieving results and working with schools/communities.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Experience in rural areas and working with government officials.
– Familiarity with national/international research on literacy.
