About IHAT:

India Health Action Trust (IHAT) aims at improving public health initiatives by supporting programs nationally and globally through providing comprehensive technical assistance in program planning, management and monitoring. Pursuant to the Memorandum of Cooperation between the GoUP and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, IHAT set up a Technical Support Unit (TSU) in 2013 to provide techno-managerial support to the Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) to improve utilization, coverage and quality of key reproductive, maternal, new-born, child health and nutrition (RMNCHN) interventions and services in the state. The TSU has been set up from the funding support of Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation (BMGF) through the University of Manitoba (UOM), Canada.

About Program:

The Uttar Pradesh Technical Support Unit (UPTSU) provides integrated Technical Assistance (TA) to the government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP), which focuses on accelerating progress in reproductive, maternal, new-born and child health, and nutrition (RMNCHN). UPTSU works closely with the GoUP at the state, district and local levels to optimize RMNCHN programs and services. The technical assistance provided by UPTSU is integrated within the GoUP’s health system response for scale-up and sustainability. UPTSU focuses on interventions to improve outcomes in Family Planning, Maternal and New-born Health, and Nutrition, along with Routine Immunization, Digital Health, and other initiatives.

Job Summary :

District Program Officer – Digital Integration will be responsible for ground level support to GoUP’s district, and block level staff in these 3 districts for ensuring the use of data based on integrated digital systems. At the district level, they will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive use of data and program reviews based on this data using existing review and coordination platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Deliverables expected from the Job Role:

  • S/he will coordinate with the district and block level teams and facilitate the implementation of project work plan in line with the goal and objectives of the digital integration grant,
  • S/he will test the workflows on the ground with relevant users for gathering feedback and making improvements.
  • S/he will work closely with the stakeholders at district level (government, partners) to ensure the capacity building for government functionaries and FLWs at intervention sites/districts.
  • S/he will coordinate with other thematic members including community, facility and child health at the district level to ensure adaptability of digital health systems across continuum of care.
  • S/he will develop and share progress reports, gap analysis reports and best practices documents with their line manager.
  • S/he will review data, explore opportunities and provide feedback to the team and explore possible solutions to address the gaps.
  • Extend support in development of e-learning modules to enhance ANM/FLW skills through digital training platforms;

Work Experience:

Essential experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience

Preferred experience:

  • Knowledge of digital applications and technology platforms (ANMOL, eKavach, others) will be an added advantage.

Education:

Required Qualification:

  • Masters’ in Public Health/ Social sciences/Rural Development or Rural Management/ any Other
