**Job Title:** EAII Advisors Certification & Standards Specialist
**Company:** EAII Advisors, Evidence Action’s technical partner in India. EAII Advisors supports state governments in delivering evidence-based public health programs, including safe drinking water initiatives and school and Anganwadi-based National Deworming Day and iron and folic acid supplementation. Operating across 10 states, EAII provides technical assistance to various ministries, reducing health burdens in impoverished communities and improving the long-term wellbeing of children and families. **Job Location:** Remote, India. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in India.
**Employment Status:** Consultancy (6 months), part-time.
**Experience Required:**
* Graduate degree in engineering or a technical diploma in chemical, water engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in the chemicals/water sector.
* Experience in water resources management, water treatment technologies and management, hydrology, hydrogeology, and water microbiology.
* Proven ability to draft guidelines, policy documents, and other materials.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work performance.
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Fluency in Hindi/Telugu is desirable.
* Experience working with firms in Water, Public Health, Sanitation, and Hygiene, ideally with government or NGOs.
**Responsibilities:**
* Conduct due diligence on certification requirements for TCCA90 chlorine tablets and guide the team on applicable standards for drinking water applications.
* Identify and validate relevant national and international certifications (e.g., BIS, NSF, pharma-grade standards) required for local manufacturers, assessing any gaps in existing certifications. Draft government-ready guidelines to address any gaps.
* Verify the authenticity of certifications submitted by suppliers and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Assess and help improve the Quality Assurance process for chlorine tablets.
* Vet and validate laboratory reports from external labs on water and chlorine tablet samples.
* Provide actionable recommendations to address challenges in establishing BIS standards for TCCA90 tablets in India.
* Identify and implement solutions to meet program needs through chemical certifications and standards, including drafting guidelines and policy documents.
**Compensation:** Competitive and commensurate with experience. All contracting arrangements will be made through EAII Advisors Private Limited.
