**Salary:** ₹30,000 – ₹40,000

 

**Job Description:**

 

Bhumi seeks a passionate and driven consultant to implement its Young Scientist (YS) program in Pune.  The YS program uses experiment-based workshops to teach students (grades 6-9) about climate change and empower them to take action.  This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, a love for environmental education, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* **School Outreach:**  Reach out to and onboard schools to participate in the program, aiming to engage 2000 students.

* **Planning & Scheduling:** Develop and manage class schedules to ensure timely completion of program objectives. Oversee all program activities at participating schools, including assessments, student identification, workshops, events, and reporting.  Proactively troubleshoot challenges and collaborate with the operations team, vendors, and other stakeholders.

* **Assessments:**  Conduct assessments to evaluate student learning and the program’s impact, utilizing a data-driven approach to measure progress.

* **Data Management:** Collaborate with school staff to collect program data for management information systems (MIS).  Submit timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and program updates.

 

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Graduate or Postgraduate degree.

* 0-1 years of relevant experience.

* Passion for environmental education, climate change, and sustainable development.

* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and supervision skills.

* Strong presentation skills.

* Understanding of pedagogical approaches for teaching children.

* Proven ability to engage people, network effectively, and actively listen.

* Emotional maturity to build relationships and empathize with diverse perspectives.

* Resourceful, self-driven, and forward-thinking, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

* Age: 20-30 years.

 

 

**Reporting to:** Program Lead

 

**Expected Start Date:** Immediate
