**Job Description: Economist – UNDP**

**Location:** New Delhi, India  

**Experience Required:** Minimum of 7 years (with Master’s degree) or 9 years (with Bachelor’s degree) in relevant areas of economic research and policy.

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Advise on country programmes and strategies, including the development of country programme documents.

– Provide technical expertise in sustainable and inclusive economic policies.

– Conduct research and analysis on priority thematic areas, contributing to policy briefs and reports.

– Collaborate with regional and global networks to enhance development impact.

– Engage with partners to advocate for UNDP’s mandate and support resource mobilization.

**Qualifications:**

– Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Economics or related field; a Ph.D. is an advantage.

– Proven experience in policy-level analysis, strategic visioning, and stakeholder engagement.

– Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the SDGs.

– Fluency in written and spoken English.
