The Opportunity

The Engagement Manager will be an integral part of our CSR Advisory vertical, building positive relationships with clients, working closely with the team in designing and building solutions to enable high impact on the ground.

The roles and responsibilities of the Engagement Manager are outlined below:

Client Engagement

  • Strong advisory abilities to support customers in making sound CSR investments aligned to impact and compliance, support client in CSR reporting
  • Closely work with the client’s business team (onsite) and provide regular updates on project delivery covering aspects such as quality, timelines, risk, and issue management.
  • Build relationships with different stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ability to work effectively with the client’s internal functional groups and levels of employees including Senior Leadership representatives
  • Strong presentation skills to lead the client’s CSR initiatives in board meetings
  • Design new and innovative EVP engagements and build a culture of meaningful volunteering engagements
  • Build specializations in specific thematic focus areas that strengthen Sattva’s capabilities to deliver value to our clients. This could include technical specializations like M&E and audit practices or focus on themes such as environment, health and education to name a few.
  • Participate/contribute actively in ecosystem level discussions to establish personal and organization credibility.
  • Effectively engage with multiple funders and varied stakeholders like funders, third party agencies, legal and finance departments, event management agencies and other vendors to achieve program outcomes

Delivery Excellence

  • Lead the project team, taking ownership of multiple streams of work including research and its dissemination, through regular governance.
  • Plan the project to maximise the social impact outcomes and ensure that the project meets all milestones including profitability goals
  • Work closely with the business development team to develop high quality proposals to generate new business
  • Participate in building and strengthening internal systems and processes which contribute towards effective and efficient functioning of the function.

What we are looking for

At Sattva, our goal is realizing impact on the ground and to drive a collective win by engaging with multiple stakeholders. We are looking for passionate individuals who align with our vision of creating an impact on the ground and have the following profile:

  • 8-11 years of professional experience across business and social domains
  • Prior experience in the consulting industry at a mid- / senior- management role (preferred)
  • Certification/training in CSR/Sustainability/ handling water projects preferred. 
  • Prior knowledge of CSR law, SDG, M&E and Employee Volunteering programs is preferred.
  • Prior experience of having worked in the social impact space on the ground preferable
  • Experience of working in and leading a team
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working in water conservation and management project will be considered favorably
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Strong client engagement skills including experience of working with senior leadership
  • Humility, willingness to listen and learn
