The commercial wing, Technology and Action for Rural Advancement (TARA) takes the solutions evolved by DA or others to market. The subsidiary companies of TARA, which include TARA Machines, TARA Life Sustainability Solutions, and TARA Academy, develop technologies, products, and services for village industries and local consumers, such as affordable construction materials, energy and water systems, cooking and lighting devices, waste recycling, handloom textiles and livelihood-creating activities. These subsidiaries now need to resurge from the pandemic-induced slowdown of the last two years.

Job description:

  • Strategize & revive the subsidiary companies of TARA, which include TARA Machines (green technology solutions for building construction, waste recycling and handmade paper production),
  • TARA Life Sustainability Solutions (committed to developing innovative products to meet rural needs), and TARA Academy (skill development for sustainable livelihoods).
  • Develop technologies, products, and services for village industries and local consumers, such as affordable construction materials, energy and water systems, cooking and lighting devices, waste recycling, handloom textiles and livelihood-creating activities and grow them to a whole new stature and impact
  • Proactively identify opportunities to gain advantage through creativity, innovation and market understanding
  • Achieve organizational outcomes in an innovative way and work with a diverse group of people and resources to achieve these goals
