WWF-India’s sustainable business team is aimed at working with Businesses and Communities for improving environmental and social outcomes through development and transformation projects.As an Expert- Energy Transition within WWF’s Sustainable Business Area, you will work in a growing sustainability team of WWF India. You are expected to work together with senior team members to provide analysis, research, report writing, and field level implementation. Additionally, you will support the team on multiple areas like projects related to Energy Transition in Dairy and Steel sector, and related topics in developing existing and new work assets. You will also work on proposals for new projects.

Location: Delhi

Job Profile:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with the consultants and project implementation partners for the delivery of set objective.
  • The person will be responsible for leading and managing the on-ground implementation of the project, including effective delivery and execution of the project as per timelines, reporting and project documentation, identification, leveraging opportunities and providing a regular status update on the progress to the team.
  • Executing various analytical methodologies relevant to energy transition and climate space using combination of research and internal resources to develop the required output
  • Communicating developed output through PPT slides and reports with the project stakeholders
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to gather, filter, synthesize, package, and deliver insights
  • Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience of 5+ years for candidates with Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years for candidates with Master’s degree of working in the sustainability/corporate/Consulting, work specifically related to energy transition, scope wise emission reduction, circular economy, renewable energy, or closely related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence key stakeholders on the sustainability agenda, especially as it relates to the business world
  • Demonstrated knowledge on the ESG, technical understanding of the sustainability and climate space, existing regulatory frameworks, and initiatives undertaken by corporates and government in this space.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information, regulations, and policies and translate into impactful advice, research, and communications.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Minimum Bachelors qualifications in the environment, sustainability, climate space or related discipline or a Masters in any domain with strong experience on Sustainability
  • Participating in external partner calls and eventually co-leading modules to grow expertise in the area
  • Creating/supporting reports related to project or on new trends, new topics, regulations etc. highlighting the overall impact on decarbonization
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual understanding, along with strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision
  • Team player with the ability to work with different seniority levels and strong work ethics
  • Experience working with Civil Society Organizations preferred
