Job Description:

The Role Context: The Sr Faculty is responsible creating effective training curriculum and content, and help deliver these training based on training need analysis of the participants. She/he will help establish the modes for continuous engagement with the participants. Success is measured based on number of participants who take up emerging technology projects post-training in their departments/ministries. S/He will work under Dean, Academy WITP.

Key Responsibilities:

Training content creation

·         Conducting ‘Training Needs Analysis’ for a diverse set of stakeholders to create multidisciplinary content (including eLearning), course/ curriculum definition, case studies, videos, tech applications etc.  

·         Designing and delivering training programs for Government Officials across diverse learning tracks – current and emerging trends and technologies eg. Data Science, Machine Learning, & AI etc., and their application. 

·         Create and deliver department specific customized learning programs in application and use cases of various technologies for the specific department.

·         Review the learning content as designed by the Curriculum designer to ensure accuracy and depth from the subject matter perspective.

·         Research, produce and deliver high-quality learning assets like training decks, facilitator guides, learner guides, assessments, and other supporting content

·         Teaching no/low code tools. 

·         Guide vendors who build demo projects though internal and external experts

Training delivery

·         Delivery of learning interventions using consultative workshops and classroom-based training which is instructor-led. Also, help and guide L&D team in converting these courses into e-learning for hosting on Government’s LMS called iGOT.    

·    Key Performance Indicators:

·         Number of participants trained.

·         NPS and feedback for the trainings conducted as well as the content.

·         Number of feasible ideas generated at the end of the training/workshop from the participants.

·         Training curriculum and content created for in-person and online training

Education level

·             Degree in Science with expert level knowledge in at least 2 emerging technologies such as Data Science & Analytics, Data Governance & Cybersecurity and IT Systems (preferably Govt or even transactional), Social Media & Digital Marketing, emerging Tech like AI/ML, IoT and Blockchain, their impact, and future trends. 

·             Degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics and Communication, or Electrical Engineering will be preferred;

Experience

10 to 12 years of experience of which at least 6 to 8 years should in the field of training and skilling of adults in technology.  

Must have skills/ competencies

·              Familiarity with the methods and principles for designing programs to teach, train and instruct adults, including the means of assessing the effects of training. 

·              Track record of designing and delivering structured interventions / training programs across diverse learning tracks in the technology domain. 

·              Ability to handle and engage a heterogeneous participant base with maturity.

·              Experience in building new case studies, use cases and assessments in emerging technology areas.

Desirable skills/competencies

·         Stay abreast of the evolving technology landscape and be perceived as a SME in the emerging technology area

·         Experience in using a Learning Management platform and delivering blended training programs

·         Knowledge of Python/ R

·         Knowledge of a no/low code tools like Orange/Knime

·         Experience in using and creating content for Virtual Learning platforms, MOOCs

Personal characteristics:

·         Should be a curious learner constantly keeping up with emerging trends and renewing knowledge who is motivated about sharing this knowledge and transforming people through training and education 

·         Should have the ability to effectively communicate and engage the audience  and effectively conduct workshops and trainings with highly qualified and senior management / officers 

·         Should have soft skills to build positive relationships with stakeholders and trainees. 

·         Ability to work with government and non-government organizations to offer courses and training
