The Hans Foundation, established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that that works for the improvement of quality of life for underprivileged communities across  India  through Health, Education, Livelihood and Disability sector interventions. THF undertakes direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing funding support to not-for-profit organisations in India through its donor – RIST, USA. THF’s Strategic planning focuses on key areas of its work with the aim of addressing the key issues of poverty alleviation, economic inequalities, and 360° impact on the quality of life through social development programs. THF’s programs are majorly implemented in the most rural and under-developed areas in the country. Over the years, THF has expanded its charitable activities in collaboration with State and Central Governments, institutions, corporates, academia and non-government organizations for sustainable interventions to achieve scale and economy. The interventions implemented by the foundation range from grass root level to national level programs.

GENERAL

Number of Positions – 1

Location: Himadri Hans Handlooms, Almora, Uttarakhand

Reporting to: Senior Manager – Programme, HHH

Type of Employment: Contractual for 1 year, renewable on project requirements

Salary – up to – 2.5 LPA

About the position:

THF is looking for Field Supervisor who oversee a team of workers who perform similar duties and helps ensure quality control and consistency in all aspects of their work.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Line up with the Production Team and senior management team for the execution of the cluster development program.
  • Preparing the plan for processing of raw materials in the cluster.
  • Planning and monitoring production in clusters to achieve control in terms of quality, productivity and delivery time.
  • Identifying training needs in warping and drafting.
  • Maintaining standards of work in order to improve and acquire new skills and work methods.
  • Compile and submit reports.
  • Reviewing the performance of the artisans.
  • Working with managers to implement HHH policies and goals.
  • Any other duty not listed but assigned by the management.

Other Indicative Requirements 

Educational Qualifications

  • High school diploma is a must, and candidate having the degree in the related field will be given advantages.
  • Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience & Other requirements (Behavioural, Language, Certifications etc.)
  • 2+ years’ manufacturing plant experience
  • Knowledge MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • The ability to work in different environmental conditions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Track and report the status of jobs on each job site
  • Organization skills and willingness to assume accountability for plant practices required
