**Job Description: Field Associate – Urban Water at WELL LABS**

**Location:** Chintamani Taluk, Chikkaballapur district, India  

**Contract Duration:** 6 to 9 months (with possible extensions based on project requirements)

**Role Overview:**  

WELL LABS seeks a motivated Field Associate to support their STEWARDS project. The role involves working in Chintamani Taluk, with potential relocation to Bangalore as needed. The position requires a blend of fieldwork and collaboration, fitting into a dynamic team environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Conduct interviews, surveys, focus group discussions, and audiovisual data recording.

– Facilitate community hydrologist training and engage with local stakeholders.

– Collaborate with the team through meetings and regular communication.

– Draft reports, conduct literature searches, and manage qualitative data collection.

– Demonstrate adaptability, initiative, resource management skills, respect for diversity, and clear communication.

**Qualifications:**

– Master’s degree in social sciences, environmental studies, water resources, agriculture, development, economics, or rural/urban studies.

– 1-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in rural areas.

– Proficiency in Kannada; knowledge of Telugu is an advantage.

– Experience in Chintamani Taluk is beneficial.

– Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
