Position – Field Development Officer

Location– Hardoi

Roles & Responsibilities :

Under the leadership of the Director – HCL Foundation and the assigned personnel, the incumbent’s primary responsibilities will include planning, strategizing and implementation of Education, Skill Development, Health, Environment related projects of HCL Foundation’s rural flagship Program – HCL Samuday in Hardoi.

Field Development Officers are responsible for the development of field volunteers, community leaders and ensuring all related activities are designed to deliver as per the goals and strategies. The Field Development Officer assesses and analyses the fields; identifies key ecosystems and opportunities to work with various stakeholders; and plays a leading role in shaping specific grant activities. The Field Development Officer strives to share substantive knowledge with colleagues and collaborate amongst all portfolios. More specifically as part of a multi-disciplinary team across Hardoi.

Field Development Officer will:

· Contribute to the ongoing definition and development of team strategies, working towards regional and organizational goals;

· Develop field development activities in a team-oriented context that are aligned to the strategic goals and designed to achieve significant and scalable impact;

Ensuring the implementation of HCL Samuday through a convergence model where NGOs, duty bearers, communities and HCL Foundation come together and work towards integrated community development.

· Engage with partners to review opportunities, challenges and advances and encourage collaboration, learning, exchange and strategic partnerships;

· Recommend and participate in evaluation and learning activities to guide the evolution of programmatic work, working with Partner’s field and office teams:

· Working simultaneously with multiple stakeholders, including the government, academic, business, philanthropic, and civic leaders.

Attributes and Experience:

· Preferred fresher candidates or having experience not more than 2 years

  • For experienced candidates, excellent track record of having worked in the development sector especially in the area of Agriculture or 0- 2 years of experience in a program management role with a good understanding of community mobilization, monitoring and evaluation strategies. Having work experience with multidimensional projects like education, WASH, Livelihood, Health, Solar and infra will be an added advantage
  • Ability to deliver on time, independently, and to work with a range of stakeholders, including the ability to perform in a corporate environment and present the work at various forums.
  • Experience of managing complex and time-sensitive processes.
  • Experience in program management, volunteer engagement, and networking.
