Requirement –

Educational Qualification – Masters in Wildlife Science/Environmental Science

Experience – 3 or more years

Basic skill set – Good statistical analysis and writing skills

Broad Responsibilities Include –

a) Conduct all the field surveys related to Markhor in Protected Areas (PAs) and non-PAs as planned for the year.

b) Conduct surveys to assess threats on the Markhor population in the area.

c) Collect Markhor fecal samples, store them and carry out preliminary processing of the samples.

d) Enter the data recorded in datasheets for both Markhor and hangul work into excel files and carry out preliminary data analysis for reports and manuscripts.

e) Assist in conducting awareness Programmes for locals and security forces in and around the study area

f)Report periodically about work progress, as compiled monthly reports, and communicate to concerned PI s, line manager and HQ staff.

g) Responsible for all field reports, photographic documentation, submission of data sheets etc as per the requirements of the PH.

h) Responsible for all field level governmental and partner liaison at appropriate levels and local public relation needs in consultation with the PH.

i) Responsible for acting as the on-site representative of WTI (at particular level) and to ensure that the image of WTI as a conservation action organization operating in the field is maintained at all times.

j) Responsible for maintenance of all assets of the organization in the area of activity
