**Job Title:** Finance & Administrative Specialist, Center for Equitable Development

 

**Job Location:** New Delhi, India (Hybrid position requiring 8 days/month in the office.  Can also be based in Washington DC, but requires residency in DC, Maryland, or Virginia).

**Job Description:**

 

The Finance & Administrative Specialist will provide comprehensive financial, operational, and administrative support to WRI’s Global Equity Program, specifically the Land & Resource Rights Practice, and other Equity projects as needed.  This role reports to the Center for Equitable Development Operations Manager.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* **Financial Management (45%):** Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, update budget software, project future expenses, coordinate project financial closeout, prepare proposal budgets, ensure budget alignment with proposed activities, and support quarterly projections and reviews.

* **Grant Management (40%):** Manage project grants and contracts, ensuring compliance; review, update, and monitor transactions; prepare financial grant reports; track narrative reporting deadlines; create subgrant and contract agreements; process payments; amend agreements; and communicate with sub-grantees.

* **Administration (15%):** Manage the Global Director’s calendar; arrange travel, including visa applications; prepare trip materials; prepare and monitor expense reports; and provide timesheet guidance to Equity Center staff.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Bachelor’s Degree (relevant work experience may substitute).

* Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in operations.

* Strong process orientation and attention to detail.

* Existing work authorization is required; WRI cannot sponsor visas for this position.

 

**Compensation:**

 

US-based salary: $57,000 – $64,000 USD.

India-based salary: 9.5 L – 12.5 L INR (commensurate with experience).
