**Job Description**
The Finance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and regulatory compliance of AIFT. This position reports to the Director-Finance & Administration and is responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
**Financial Accounting:**
* Maintaining AIFT’s financial system and software, including ERP Administrator maintenance.
* Ensuring financial management, control, and regulatory compliance by adhering to organizational policies.
* Conducting monthly reviews of consolidated organizational budget performance against individual project budgets.
* Forecasting expenses and tracking commitments against approved cash positions.
* Advising the Director-Finance & Administration on financial trends and changes, proactively communicating potential issues.
* Supporting long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with AIFT’s strategic and project plans.
* Collaborating with all Functions & Programs to ensure financial alignment with approved budgets.
* Managing filing systems and maintaining office records/registers.
* Supervising the Accountant / Finance Officer on a daily basis.
**Statutory Compliances:**
* Coordinating with statutory auditors for the annual audit process.
* Coordinating with internal auditors for concurrent audits to ensure financial compliance with organizational procedures and guidelines.
* Supporting donor audits, including addressing audit queries and preparing reports.
* Coordinating with tax/PF consultants for preparing replies to notices from Income Tax and PF departments.
* Ensuring timely payment and deposit of EPF on a month-to-month basis.
**Grant Management & MIS:**
* Coordinating with Program teams in managing grants and contracts.
* Reviewing financial reports and documents submitted by partners.
* Processing due diligence for new partners, signing MOUs, releasing tranches, and closing individual partner grants online.
* Reconciling donor balances.
* Analyzing donor agreements to ensure the use of funds as per agreements.
* Tracking online donations.
* Providing documents and information for new grant proposals.
**Project Accounting:**
* Managing project accounting for AIFT projects implemented through partner NGOs.
* Tracking advances made to projects and individuals and reconciling them upon submission of bills.
* Coordinating with project staff for financial queries and clarifications.
* Preparing donor reports/utilization certificates in coordination with Program teams.
* Conducting financial reviews of selected NGO partners.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
* M.Com/MBA in Finance.
* 8-12 years of experience in finance and accounting. Experience with a not-for-profit is a plus.
* Experience working on ERP software preferred.
* Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.

**Other:**
* Salary will be commensurate with experience.
* Travel to project offices across India will be required.
