## Job Description: Manager / Senior Manager Finance

**Job Location:** Chennai, India

**Experience Required:**

* **Manager:** 5+ years of experience in a finance role, preferably in a non-profit organization.

* **Senior Manager:** 8+ years of experience in a finance role, with a proven track record of managing financial operations in a non-profit setting.

**Job Responsibilities:**

* Oversee Bhumi’s financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and statutory compliance.

* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial management.

* Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and reports to provide insights into the organization’s financial performance.

* Manage cash flow and ensure timely payment of all financial obligations.

* Monitor and control expenses to ensure adherence to budget guidelines.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and government agencies.

* Provide financial guidance and support to program staff.

* Stay abreast of relevant accounting and financial regulations.

* Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic financial plans.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

* Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Preferred Skills and Qualifications:**

* Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* Experience working with non-profit organizations.

* Experience with fundraising and grant management.

* Knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations.
