Position Description

Milaan is looking for a Fundraising Associate to join its team to work with the Partnerships and Communications team to implement Milaan’s fundraising strategy, manage and scale donor relations, prepare and submit concept notes, proposals and grant applications on a needs basis and support the team in all campaigns and events – both physical and virtual.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research and tracking of potential funding sources to help realise the foundation’s fundraising strategy.

2. Ensure regular communications with donors ensuring adherence to timelines for reporting.

3. Support the fundraising campaigns launched by Milaan from time to time on different platforms.

4. Support the Partnerships team to develop letter of interests, proposals and grant applications, award applications etc

5. Represent Milaan at networking events where required and possible.

6. Liaise with various departments within MIlaan to collect and present relevant information to stakeholders.

7. Prepare stakeholder specific reports and assist in completing the due diligence requirements of donors by coordinating and collating data from Impact, Finance, Program, HR team.

8. Provide support to the Executive Director on a needs basis.

Educational Qualifications

Graduate/post graduate degree in social sciences, development studies, business management or equivalent qualification preferred.

Preferred Work Experience

1-2 years and above of professional experience in fundraising, business development, reporting,
writing proposals, grant applications preferably in an NGO.

Preferred Skill Set

1. Outstanding communications and writing skills in English

2. Attention to detail

3. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people from varied backgrounds, at all management levels

4. Ability to coordinate with departments, organise and prioritise workload and adhere to deadlines

5. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office-Excel, Power point, word.
