RightWalk Foundation’s core mission involves driving Equity, Inclusion & Social Justice by co-shaping public policies and translating them into action. We practice Systems Thinking approach for institutional reform by partnering with system leadership, lawmakers and communities. We work closely with the State Government and have been instrumental in unlocking RTE 12.1(c) policy in the State thereby impacting over 5.30 lakh children from vulnerable communities in the last five years.

The program is in close coordination with the State Governments for end-to-end implementation of a public policy. It has the capacity to impact the lives of 20000 to 100000 youth secure employment and focuses on ‘earning while learning’. In addition, the scheme is from one of the top three priority schemes of the Chief Minister’s office and is closely followed. Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Fundraising Associate to join our social sector non- profit organization based in Delhi. As a Fundraising Associate, you will work closely with the Chief Growth Officer to support and implement fundraising strategies that align with our organization’s mission and goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the development sector, possess excellent communication, research, and donor management skills, and be proficient in various software tools and applications, including Salesforce for Nonprofits. This is a full-time position based in Delhi, with the expectation of occasional travel.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to secure funding for the organization’s programs and initiatives.
  • Utilize your expertise in the development sector to identify and engage potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Assist in the development of compelling proposals, grant applications, and fundraising appeals to effectively communicate our organization’s mission and projects.
  • Draft engaging outreach emails and follow-up communication to nurture relationships with donors and supporters.
  • Conduct research to identify potential funding opportunities, create meaningful shortlists, and populate the fundraising funnel.
  • Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, and Salesforce for Nonprofits to create impactful presentations, reports, and fundraising materials.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of a robust donor management system to track and cultivate relationships with donors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date donor information.
  • Support donor stewardship activities, including acknowledgment letters, recognition, and regular communication to maintain strong relationships.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating fundraising events and campaigns, including logistics, outreach, and donor engagement.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify major gift and planned giving opportunities and assist in the development of appropriate strategies for cultivation and solicitation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the effective implementation and monitoring of funded projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Growth Officer, including scheduling, meeting coordination, and preparation of fundraising materials. 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous experience (2 years plus) in fund raising within the development sector is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, and other software tools with a high level of attention to detail and design aesthetics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong proposal writing abilities and the ability to craft compelling outreach emails.
  • Demonstrated research skills to identify funding opportunities and create meaningful shortlists for donor engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with donors, sponsors, and funding agencies.
  • Experience with donor management systems, preferably Salesforce for Nonprofits, and the ability to effectively utilize the system for donor tracking and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for donor meetings, events, and conferences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Based in Delhi, available to work from the office, and ready to join within one week of offer acceptance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (additional relevant certifications or qualifications are a plus).
  • Knowledge of the social sector landscape, current trends, and fundraising best practices.
