Job Opportunity for Fundraising & Communications Manager at iTeach School in Pune

Overview

iTeach Schools runs free and high-impact secondary schools and a college-to-career program for the most disadvantaged students of Pune and PCMC. Like many Indian cities, both of these public education systems only go up to Grade VII, leading to the poorest students being unable to finish their schooling. In 2023, with a staff of 250 members across nine schools, we will serve 2800 students and 2000+ alumni – giving students a fighting chance at college, career, and citizenship. We aim to grow to 30 schools and 10,000 students over the next five years.

Responsibilities:

This role sits within our Development and Communications Team. There are three key parts of the Manager – Fundraising & Communications role:

I. Strategy

• Evolve a three-year strategy for fundraising and communications keeping in mind sustainability
• Develop an annual implementation plan for this strategy, including budgetary requirements
• Lead quarterly reviews to monitor the implementation of the strategy

II. Team Management

• Lead a team of 3-4 staff members toward achieving the fundraising and communication goals
• Coach and manage the team, ensuring a healthy and high-performing culture
• Ensure collaboration between your team and all other teams of iTeach Schools

III. Donor Management

• Directly manage key funding partnerships
• Lead acquisitions of new donors
• Implement efficient systems to ensure every funding partnership meets its full potential in terms of engagement, volunteering, and fundraising through your team
• Manage the reporting and other regular donor communications

IV. Communications Platforms Management

• Work through the team to ensure effective communications through various channels.
• Manage periodic campaigns targeted towards specific needs
• Support verticals such as recruitment and government relations with communications materials

Experience and Competencies:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree with strong performance
• Required: 4-5 years of work experience overall, with three years in relevant functions required
• Required: Experience in project and team management
• Preferred: Experience in a school system/education organization

Location: Pune

Salary– Salary is decided based on the candidate’s education and work experience. Our usual compensation for this role lies between 8.40 Lakh Per Annum – 10 Lakh Per Annum. We also take pride in providing the best of industry benefits such as PF, Gratuity, Medical Insurance etc.
