About Ra Foundation:

Ra Foundation is a Mumbai based NGO, working with extremely vulnerable children to transform their lives through holistic education, safe environment provided at a residential school, to help them realize their full potential. Children who have lost one or both parents, and are at risk of facing violence, abuse, trafficking, child marriage, labour, beggary or are homeless are considered as vulnerable. Our work in the space of children’s education is called the Happy Kids program. Ra Foundation identifies children who are vulnerable due to the environment at home i.e. due to loss of parents, abuse, extreme deprivation etc, through partners like Akanksha, TFI fellows, CORP etc. The team handholds the kids into a safer environment through quality residential schooling in Panchgani, Nashik, Pune, parallelly addressing counselling, healthcare and mentorship needs thereby providing an ecosystem for education and growth. The programme support continues till the completion of education, so as to eliminate the risks of dropouts, child labor and child marriage. The kids who have completed their education are financially independent and healthy people who are now contributing citizens of Mumbai, and a great support to family.

Fundraising Associate Responsibilities:

• Identify and engage international and local donor organizations
• Maintain a database of international and local donor organizations, CSR and HNI Donors
• Undertake independent research in finding suitable donors, assessing donor alignment and reaching out to potential donors, following up on leads and arranging for meetings, presentations etc.
• Co-create an Annual and five year fundraising strategy for the organisation
• Maintain the website www.rafoundation.org.in and regularly update it
• Writing of concept notes and project proposals and ensure their timely submission
• Maintain relationships with existing donors and regularly update them about or work
• Assist the Director in developing business plans to generate income from various sources.
• Develop and update communications material such as brochure, website, annual report, etc.
• Organize or provide assistance in organizing fundraising events for the organization
• Suggest other innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization.

Fundraising Associate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Masters degree from any stream
• Strong analytical (data/evidence gathering, analysis and interpretation) and research capabilities
• Strong excel, communication, storytelling and presentations capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Relationship management
• 1 to 3 yrs years of relevant work experience in partnerships, fundraising and project management is preferred
• Result-driven and outcome focused-approach
• Adaptable and flexible in working style, comfortable with ambiguity
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders
