**Job Description: Government Relation – Jharkhand**

Educate Girls is a non-profit organization established in 2007, focusing on mobilizing communities for girls’ education in India’s rural and educationally backward areas. The organization operates under the framework of India’s ‘Right to Education Act’ and has expanded across multiple states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. Educate Girls aims to transform 10 million lives through its Project Pragati, targeting adolescent girls and young women who have dropped out of the formal school system.

 

**Role Overview:**  

The Government Relation will play a pivotal role within the Project Management Unit (PMU) in Jharkhand. This position requires fostering strong relationships with government stakeholders, aligning the organization’s program with state education objectives, and ensuring effective implementation of educational strategies.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**  

– Engage with government stakeholders to maintain positive relationships.

– Align the organization’s program with the State’s Open School Program objectives.

– Contribute to strategic planning and incorporate government priorities into program design.

– Prepare regular reports on program activities for government stakeholders.

– Provide training and capacity-building support to government staff.

– Collaborate on monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track program progress.

– Represent the organization in government meetings and forums.

 

**Qualifications:**  

– Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.

– Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in government relations, preferably in Jharkhand’s underserved areas.

– Fluency in Hindi and English; proficiency in local languages of Jharkhand is an advantage.
