Job Opportunity for Graphic Designer at SEWA Bharat in New Delhi

About SEWA Bharat:
 
Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) is a movement to empower women working in the informal economy. SEWA Bharat is part of the national SEWA movement. Established in 1984, it is a national federation of SEWA organizations of women working in the informal economy. SEWA Bharat emerged out of the need to address the SEWA movement’s challenges with geographical expansion and coordination. SEWA Bharat comprises a family of SEWA organizations to further informal women workers’ rights, livelihoods, financial independence, education, health and social security.

Deliverables:

The graphic designer will be closely working with the communications team to produce visual designs catering to different verticals and programs within SEWA Bharat. The said person will be required to provide guidance on the best and most relevant visual design practices suitable for different stakeholders. This involves ideation, production and execution of creatives in the form of:

– Presentations

– Social media collaterals

– Photo editing

– Publication & Layout designs

– Event posters and promotion materials

– Print materials such as banners, awareness posters, brochures, handbooks. Etc

You will be required to collaborate with the teams to ensure consistency of designs across the verticals as per SEWA Bharat’s brand guidelines.
Additionally, the person should be contributing to peer learning by organizing & faciltating design workshops for SEWA Bharat staff and field members.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar field.
• At least 1.5 years of experience working with design softwares such as Illustrator, Adobe, Figma, Photoshop, Procreate, Canva
• Strong conceptual understanding of the grassroots and passion for gender equity
• Ability to coordinate amongst various SEWA verticals and understand and conceptualize their requirements accordingly.
• Willingness to travel to the field
• Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
