Job Title – Head / Director – Finance – Donor Management

Location – Mumbai

The Role – Responsible for the provision of financial management support throughout the life cycle of donor funded projects from proposal development to close out and audit.

The role will support programmes with financial donor compliance, specific donor rules and regulations, accounting and reporting on projects. To act as liaison between Magic Bus and the donors/funders on financial matters.

Responsibilities –

  • Timely and accurate donor reporting & analysis  Review and analyses the variances on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Comply with timely reporting requirements internal and external.
  • Ensuring statutory compliance on all activities –Direct and Indirect taxes, FCRA etc
  • Ensuring internal compliances to be aligned in compliance with applicable statutes
  • Liaise with internal and external audit teams and oversee the compilation and completion of required data.
  • Develop reporting formats, compile and analyze financial statements and reports, and identify strategies for improving financial performance
  • Developing the automation of core donor reporting in coordination with IT Team
  • Develop and promote analytic models that identify the organization’s revenue drivers, quantify progress toward long term goals, revenue performance vs. budget
  • Collaborate with the respective team/s to reinforce a focus on areas of greatest fundraising need and organization efficiency in grants proposals and reporting.
  • Financial analytics and budgeting
  • Financial reporting – monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, Budget preparation, Variance reporting

Cash flow management

  • Revenue analysis metrics, revenue projection for annual budget, time and segment phased
  • Strategic assistance to the CFO

Requirements –

  • CA with 8 – 10 years’ experience with 5 years in a similar leadership role
  • Effective leadership – Strategic and solution oriented approach
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional conduct and high ethical standards
  • Good negotiation skills, relationship management & conflict management
  • Good communication skills with ability to converse clearly with senior management & senior stakeholders
  • Quality Management – continuously looks to improve processes
  • Experience in managing large budgets, finance, contract administration, negotiation and project management
  • Good understanding of relevant laws

Reporting to – CFO Staff Reporting – 6 members
