Job Description
This is a remote position.
What is the role?
Title: Head of Technology
Give is looking for a technology leader to join us in our mission of building and scaling online giving in India. You will be our technology go-to expert and play an integral role in setting the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. In this position, you will manage the engineering team and oversee our overall technology development. We are looking for someone who has the ability to manage a large engineering team as well as write code whenever needed.
What will you do?
- Lead the engineering teams and take charge of the overall development life cycle of features and timelines
- Hands-on coding whenever needed
- Identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs
- Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence
- Track, analyze, and monitor technology performance metrics
- Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture
- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape
- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity
What are we looking for?
- 8+ years of experience in shipping high-quality and scalable consumer internet products
- B.Tech/BE in computer science from a Tier 1 institute
- Proven expertise in designing software applications from the ground up (Knowledge of data modeling, application designing, API design, etc)
- Strong programming & computer sc. fundamentals (Algorithms, Data Structures, Networks, Operating Systems)
- Expert-level in-depth hands-on knowledge of various technology stacks and javascript frameworks
- Expertise in developing high-performance, high-traffic applications with a good understanding of measuring results and identifying application bottlenecks quickly
