## Head – India Climate Leaders
**About India Climate Collaborative (ICC):**
The India Climate Collaborative (ICC) is a non-profit organization established in 2020 with a mission to scale climate philanthropy in India. We work to unlock philanthropic capital, identify catalytic climate priorities, and build connective infrastructure to support this mission. ICC was founded by prominent corporate and philanthropic leaders including Rohini Nilekani, Ratan Tata, Anand Mahindra, Nadir Godrej, and others.
**The Role:**
The India Climate Leaders (ICL) program aims to cultivate and empower climate leaders among high net-worth individuals in India. This program aligns with India’s ambitious climate targets and development priorities, advocating for accelerated climate funding and integrated action.
As the Head of ICL, you will be responsible for engaging with philanthropists and business leaders, nurturing India’s pioneering climate philanthropists, and facilitating their transition to large-scale climate action and giving.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop long-term strategic goals for the ICL program.
* Identify and cultivate a pipeline of climate philanthropists with ambitious giving goals.
* Secure significant funding commitments for climate action in India.
* Establish a clear engagement strategy with specific targets.
* Build and maintain appropriate knowledge products and public goods for the climate donor ecosystem in India.
* Curate giving opportunities aligned with domestic donor priorities (in collaboration with CSO partners and ICC’s Sectors team).
* Manage donor relationships and build connections with experienced climate donors globally.
* Lead and mentor the ICL team.
* Collaborate closely with ICC’s Senior Leadership to influence organizational strategy, direction, and growth.
* Strengthen ICC’s position as a catalyst for climate action in India.
**Skills and Experience:**
* Minimum fifteen years of fundraising and/or equivalent donor advising experience.
* Proven track record of cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding eight-figure gifts from philanthropists, particularly ultra-high-net-worth donors.
* Strong project planning skills, including the ability to define workstreams and manage multiple timelines and deadlines.
* Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with strong convening capabilities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a persuasive and attentive approach.
* Proven ability to lead, engage, and collaborate with diverse staff and partners.
* Experience managing team members inclusively and supportively, with coaching and development skills.
* Good working knowledge of climate change; past climate experience is advantageous.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Demonstrated agility and adaptability in entrepreneurial, ambiguous, or changing environments.
* A Master’s degree is preferred.
