Job Opportunity for Head of Operations for Project Pragati at Educate Girls in Mumbai

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to oversee and scale our high-impact girls’ education program – Project Pragati. This program is focused on providing second chance education to girls in underprivileged communities to enable them to break the cycle of poverty and become leaders in their communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team, managing stakeholders, and scaling the program using technology.

In this role you will:

• Develop and implement the overall strategy for the girls’ education program
• Create and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of results
• Build and manage a high-performing team, providing guidance and support to ensure they achieve their targets
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and NGOs, to ensure buy-in and support for the program
• Identify and address program risks and challenges, adapting strategies as necessary to ensure success
• Develop and implement a technology strategy to scale the program effectively
• Build relationships with potential funders and secure funding for the program
• Monitor and report on program performance and impact, and make recommendations for improvement

Apply if you have:

• At least 7 years of experience in project management and operations, preferably in the education sector
• Demonstrated success in taking projects to scale and using technology to scale programs
• Proven track record of managing teams and stakeholders effectively
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Passion for girls’ education and a commitment to improving the lives of girls in underprivileged communities
• Open to travel to the field when required
