The Circle is striving to build a network of reimagined schools and after-school centers that, together, are offering low-income students expanded opportunity to both succeed and change the world. We are vying to reinvent the learning and school experiences that India’s students receive today.

In our first year of operations, we will be running two flagship programs:

• Our signature program, the two-year Circle Incubation, will select and equip entrepreneurs who aspire to reinvent both schools and after-school centers. Our initial cohort will visit innovative schools across the country and world; serve in an apprenticeship with an existing school; and engage in rigorous content facilitated by innovation coaches and experts from across industries.
• Our Aspiring Entrepreneurship Lab will consist of a series of light-touch programs, including fellowships, workshops, hackathons, and internships, designed to cultivate both excitement and readiness for school design, innovation, and creation.

Over the next five years, we aspire to facilitate the launches of more than 25 schools and after-school centers across India.

Position Summary

The Head of Program will spearhead the design and implementation of our newly created signature two-year incubation. They will also be responsible for leading the programming effort that informs our work with the Aspiring Entrepreneurship Lab. To achieve success, the Head of Program will work with partners across India and the world; spend significant amounts of time designing and creating strategy; and iterating and prototyping initial design iterations. They will also lead and facilitate core programming experiences for entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities

• Design the programming experience (scope and sequence plus key learning experiences) for the two-year incubation.

• Research world-class incubation programs across the world to adopt best practices.

• Collaborate with knowledge and implementation partners to coordinate an integrated approach to incubation and support.

• Lead and facilitate key programming experiences for entrepreneurs and aspiring participants

• Coordinate and lead the implementation of the two-year incubation.

• Design and implement a rigorous monitoring and evaluation system for key programs.

Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

​​​​​​A bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field

• 6+ years of relevant work experience

• Previous experience leading projects and teams to successful outcomes

• An appetite for innovation and reinvention

• Strategic and critical-thinking skills to creatively solve problems

• Conceptual-design skills to create innovative programming experiences

• Facilitation skills with groups of adults

• Relationship-building skills to work with, and learn from, partners.

• Ability (and excitement) to be both resourceful and entrepreneurial in the face of uncertainty.

• Willingness to travel extensively across India
