Job Opportunity for Head – Policy & Partnerships at FED in New Delhi

FED is looking for a Head – Policy and Partnerships to build stronger partnerships across the ecosystem to create salience, awareness and acceptance around its ideas. Specifically the person will help define and sharpen the policy communication and reach out to stakeholders including leading media, politicians, bureaucrats, industry bodies by building stronger relationships so that greater acceptance for FED ideas can be created

The role will report to FED CEO/Board

Key Responsibilities Areas:

• Craft overall policy, communication, outreach and partnership strategy for FED
• Create and sharpen communication on the case for change as well as recommended interventions in FED areas of focus
• Build strong relationships with relevant journalists in the media with focus on business media with an objective of getting FED point of view in relevant media as quotes or OpEds. 
• Navigate the ecosystem and build relationship with most relevant industry bodies, bureaucrats and politicians 
• Jointly take FED messages to the relevant stakeholders

Location

The person will ideally be based in New Delhi and travel as needed

Required Qualifications, Skills, Competencies and Abilities:

• 15+ years as a journalist with focus on business/economic policy
• Relationships with some of the leading media companies
• Track record of building relationships with politicians and bureaucrats, particularly the ones related to finance and industry sectors
• Strong relationship skills
• Fluent in English as well as Hindi and ideally in a 1-2 local languages as well
• Entrepreneurial and go getter
