**Experience Required:** 8+ years of experience in HR Operations, with a strong focus on payroll management.

 

**Job Description:**

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Lead to join our dynamic team. As HR Operations Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the HR department with a specific focus on payroll management. You will ensure efficient and compliant processing of payroll, implement HR policies, and maintain smooth operation of HR functions. 

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

**Payroll Management:**

 

* Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. 

* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

* Manage payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

* Maintain and update payroll systems and records.

* Coordinate with finance and accounting departments for payroll-related matters.

* Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management. 

* Liaise with Directors and Finance Manager for accurate and timely payroll creation and processing.

* Ensure 100% HR compliance (PF, ESI, Audits etc.)

 

**HR Operations:**

 

* Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR department. 

* Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures.

* Oversee employee data management and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.

* Coordinate with various departments to address HR-related needs and issues.

* Lead HR projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

* Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including POSH.

* Serve as the chairperson of the Internal Committee, implementing the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) policy in accordance with Government of India regulations, to provide a safe working environment.

* Communicate HR policies to all staff across different programs as required.

* Align organizational practices with labor laws, tax laws, permissible working hours, minimum wages, and a no-discrimination policy.

* Review policies periodically, suggesting changes to the senior leadership team to increase employee retention and satisfaction.

* Partner with senior leadership to build a value-based culture, vision, and alignment within the organization.

 

**Performance Management & Goal Setting:**

 

* Develop and implement performance management systems and processes.

* Facilitate goal-setting sessions to align individual performance with organizational objectives.

* Monitor and evaluate employee performance to ensure goals are met.

* Provide guidance and support to managers in setting performance goals and conducting evaluations. 

* Create and execute half-yearly and annual PMS processes on Keka.

* Conduct first 15 days and probation reviews with employees and managers.

 

**Employee Relations:**

 

* Address employee inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.

* Support the resolution of employee conflicts and disciplinary issues.

* Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.

* Handle grievances, counsel employees, and take disciplinary actions as required.

 

**Organizational Culture & Internal Communication:**

 

* Develop organizational processes and policies aligned with best practices.

* Develop internal communication initiatives to cultivate a culture built around Inclusion Economics organizational values.

* Plan and implement forums/events like staff meetings, manager meetings, and staff retreats in line with the overall vision and mission.

 

**Learning & Development:**

 

* Develop and support learning and development across key roles, including implementing G&A (Goals and Accomplishments processes) and competency frameworks, working closely with people managers. 

* Design, develop, and deliver training materials and content for bespoke training sessions at every level for the team.

* Work closely with the Executive Director and Yale team to evaluate and strengthen talent management practices.

* Lead and mentor the HR operations team. 

* Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

 

**HRIS Management:**

 

* Maintain and optimize HR Information Systems (HRIS).

* Ensure data integrity and security within the HRIS.

* Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

* Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR operations with a focus on payroll management.

* Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

* Experience with HRIS and payroll software (e.g., Razorpay, Keka).

* Excellent organizational and time management skills.

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

 

**Working Condition:**

 

* Full-time position with standard office hours.
