**Job Description:**

 

Peepul seeks a Human Resources Specialist to contribute to the organization’s growth and ambitious scaling plans. Reporting to the Head of HR, this role will manage the end-to-end HR agenda, driving initiatives in people strategy, talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.  This is a high-visibility role requiring expertise in organizational transformation, culture-building, and people management.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Contribute to Peepul’s strategic direction, aligning HR strategy with organizational vision and growth plans.

* Build strong relationships with senior leaders, understanding the organization’s mission and aligning principles and practices.

* Work with board members, providing regular reporting on organizational performance.

* Provide strategic counsel to the CEO and other Directors on program management and organizational priorities.

* Lead cultural transformation, building a high-performance, values-driven culture.

* Identify and address culture gaps and leadership challenges, implementing initiatives to strengthen the organization’s ability to manage change and growth.

* Drive initiatives around leadership development, fostering empowerment, transparency, and inclusive leadership.

* Oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning & development, performance management, and talent retention.

* Drive initiatives for employee engagement, organizational development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

* Leverage HR analytics for data-driven decisions and employee experience enhancement.

* Develop organizational processes and policies aligned with best practices.

* Ensure efficient and effective service delivery across programs.

* Provide leadership and management of Peepul’s central operational functions (HR, IT, Facilities, Governance).

 

 

**Qualifications and Requirements:**

 

* Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline.

* 8-10 years of experience in Human Resources, ideally in the development sector or similar dynamic environments.

* At least 2 years in a leadership role with hands-on experience managing the full employee lifecycle.

* Strong background in HR strategy development and execution, with the ability to balance strategic and operational leadership.

* Exceptional problem-solving and prioritization abilities.

* Proven capacity to manage complex HR functions while supporting organizational goals.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and organizational tools (e.g., MS Teams, Outlook, OneDrive).

* Ability to foster collaboration and inspire high-performing teams.

* Fluency in English and Hindi.
