Job Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Strengthening:
- Lead the implementation of state-specific roadmaps for ‘To-Be’ supply chain models, emphasizing procurement processes and government guidelines, based on the findings of the completed ‘As-Is’ assessment.
- Collaborate closely with national and state teams to integrate and execute state-specific project activities related to procurement and supply chain management, ensuring alignment with NHM guidelines and standards.
Project Coordination:
- Coordinate with project partners and intervention states on a day-to-day basis to track progress and roll out activities in line with approved work plans/proposals, ensuring alignment with state-
- specific roadmaps and government procurement principles.
- Facilitate the development of various technical resources, project documents, and reports related to procurement and supply chain management, supporting the implementation of the ‘To-Be’ models.
Digital Supply Chain Strengthening:
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to promote the usage of DVDMS into the supply chain, ensuring seamless adoption and utilization by supply chain professionals.
- Work closely with partners to improve the functionality of DVDMS as per the project mandate.
- Develop and roll out strategies for improving utilization of DVDMS up to the primary healthcare settings.
- Establish mechanisms for monitoring the usage of DVDMS within public health supply chains, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data accuracy, timeliness, and system functionality.
- Analyze DVDMS performance data to identify areas for improvement to support supply chain operations effectively.
Capacity Building, Innovation and Best Practices:
- Lead the development and delivery of training programs for external and internal stakeholders on procurement processes, supply chain management, and government procurement principles, tailored to the requirements of the state-specific roadmaps.
- Identify capacity-building needs and opportunities to strengthen procurement expertise and government procurement practices within intervention states, leveraging learnings from the ‘As-Is’ assessment.
Government Liaising:
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with relevant government agencies and stakeholders at the national, state, and local levels, focusing on procurement departments.
- Liaise with government officials to ensure alignment of project activities with government procurement priorities and policies, facilitating collaboration and leveraging government resources and support.
Project Management:
- Support in coordinating project management processes internally within PATH and with external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables outlined in the state-specific roadmaps.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, including achievements, challenges, and lessons learned, contributing to ongoing monitoring and evaluation efforts.
- Undertake other tasks which may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor
Required Experience and qualifications.
- Postgraduate /Professional degree in Supply Chain Management/ Material Management/ Logistics Management/ MBA-SCM/ MPH/MHA/ / or any other related field.
- Degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India, or any other National Agencies will be an added advantage.
- Minimum five years of progressive experience in supervision and monitoring of procurement and supply chain management of health goods preferably drugs
- Association with National Programmes of the Government of India with special reference to supply of health goods and drugs.
- Previous experience/ Demonstrated expertise in a similar role would be preferred for this position.
- Expertise in functions and practices of supply chain in government organizations/ departments and knowledge of best practices in supply chain management.

- Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes.
- Self-starter and committed to performing their duties with a high degree of autonomy in line with project goals and objectives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and policy concepts to diverse audiences.
- Self-directed and creative individual with experience managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of systems, institutions, and processes, key policy issues and debates related to emerging technologies in South Asian countries.
- Ability to develop productive working relationships with state government officials, partner organizations, and other key stakeholders including other team members
- Data analysis, data visualization, and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a multi-cultural team.
- Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines
- Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time.
