• Key Responsibilities:* As a Primary Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher at Ruh Continuum School, you will: • Curriculum Delivery:*
• Implement the Cambridge Pathway and IB curriculum in a creative and engaging manner.
• Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school’s educational goals and standards.
• Foster a love for learning by creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment
. • Classroom Management:*
• Establish a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Manage classroom behavior and address any disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner.
• Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Student Assessment:*
• Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress.
• Track and analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions as needed.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic and behavioural developments.
• Parent and Community Engagement:*
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians through regular meetings, newsletters, and conferences.
• Participate in school events and community activities to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration.
• Professional Development:
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on educational trends, teaching methodologies, and curriculum enhancements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a supportive and innovative teaching community.
• Positive Disciplining and Constructive Language Approach:*
• Implement positive disciplining strategies that promote a nurturing and respectful classroom environment.
• Utilize constructive language and communication techniques to guide and redirect student behaviour.
• Encourage self-awareness and self-regulation among students, helping them develop essential life skills.
• Model and teach conflict resolution techniques that emphasize empathy and compromise. • Qualifications:*
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• A degree or certification in Child Psychology is a plus.
• Valid teaching certification.
• Previous experience teaching in a primary or elementary school setting.
• Familiarity with the Cambridge Pathway and IB curriculum is a plus.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
