Function/Team: Student Wellbeing Team (Part of the Learning Team)
Location: Mumbai / Pune
Reports to: Network Lead- Student Wellbeing
What your role will entail
● Build capacity, support and guide the Instructional Specialist for Physical Education in each city (reviewing plans, creating curriculum, building a structure for assessment, data analysis)
● Aligning key structures and processes for the three cities and creating need based structures for each city
● Build capacity of the PE teachers in the absence of IS for PE
● Develop customized plans for specific Programs
● Planning and organizing inter-school Sports events in all three cities
● Creating and managing the Budget for the Physical Education and Sports Program
● Overlooking Sports Program for Pune & Mumbai
● Build external partnerships and strong relations with Sports Associations and Clubs
● Providing exposure to students through external opportunities
What you need for this Position
Education :
Required- B.P.Ed (Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education)
Preferred- M.P.Ed (Master’s Degree in Physical Education)
Experience:
Minimum 5 years teaching experience for K-10
Minimum 3 years leadership experience
Knowledge/Skills:
● Strong content/ pedagogical knowledge and expertise
● Expertise in curricular/ co- curricular 21st century learning skills
● Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
● Patience and capacity to solve problems
● Good planning and organizing skills
● Strong team player and has the ability to influence and persuade others
● Accepts responsibility and is self-motivated
● Demonstrates a strong work ethic to achieve goals
● Openness to feedback and critical reflection
● A strong advocate for child rights
● Ability to explore all subject areas from an instructional lens
