**Job Description: Junior Analyst, Center for Sustainable Finance – CPI**

 

**Location:** Delhi/NCR, India  

 

**About the Company:**  

Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) is a global organization dedicated to improving energy and land use policies worldwide. With a focus on addressing climate risks and scarce resources, CPI works in key regions including Brazil, Europe, India, Indonesia, and the United States. The Center for Sustainable Finance (CSF), managed by CPI, operates as a knowledge and networking hub in India aimed at aligning the financial sector toward sustainable development. CSF facilitates dialogue among stakeholders to reorient financial intermediation toward sustainable growth, build resilience against climate risks, and support a Just Transition to a low-carbon economy.

 

**Qualifications & Experience:**  

– Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Management, or related fields (CFA is desirable).  

– At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in finance, policy, or related areas.  

– Strong analytical skills and sound financial judgment.  

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.  

 

**Desirable Skills & Experience:**  

– Understanding of climate finance and sustainable development.  

– Experience working with government agencies, financial regulators, DFIs, or international philanthropy.  

– Familiarity with financial services, consulting, research, or non-profit sectors.  

 

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities:**  

1. Support research initiatives and capacity-building activities in sustainable finance.  

2. Engage with stakeholders to identify financing needs and structures.  

3. Collaborate on project planning, execution, and deliverables.  

4. Contribute to high-quality outputs such as reports, papers, and presentations.  

5. Work with a global team and engage with diverse stakeholders.  

 

**Competencies & Attributes:**  

– Team player with the ability to work independently under minimal guidance.  

– Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills.  

– Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.  

– Willingness to travel domestically.
