About the position:

The Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Team works with families of children with developmental disabilities to develop appropriate goals meaningful to the families and their children, and implement treatment plan for the same. The team also conducts various group-based interventions for children with developmental disabilities. Additionally, the Occupational Therapy team conducts training programs for parents of children and professionals too.

At Junior Therapist level, Physiotherapist’s job profile enables you to become a complete clinician by putting into action all the important concepts you have learnt in your training. Learn to seamlessly integrate NDT, Family Centered Care principles using clinical reasoning in your practice, and assisting in conducting groups.

Primary Responsibilities:      

·        Undergoing basic training in: Neuro Developmental approach

·        Conducting Assessments

·        Developing intervention and home program for the child

·        Implementing intervention plan for the child

·        Documentation: Reports and treatment plan

·        Assisting in group interventions

·        Assisting in logistic related work for the team as and when required

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy

Essentials Skills Required:

·        Commitment to working at Ummeed (at least 2 years)

·        Good/ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·        Good computer skills

·        Adherence to deadlines and appointments

·        Openness to work in a team

Desired Skills Required:

Preference will be given to candidates

·        Having knowledge of Neuro Development approach and its application in practice / attended basic course on NDT

·        Having experience in working with pediatric caseload

·        Practicing Play based intervention

·        Having some exposure in regards to Documentation skills
