Role and Responsibilities

As a Lead Education Specialist, you will play the role of a Training Expert, responsible for capacity building, learning and development, facilitation and need assessment.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

1. Design tools to facilitate the use of examination data: Design tools and protocols for teachers to grade and analyse student assessments and develop strategies for ability-based grouping and remediation

2. Build capacity in internal and external stakeholders on examination reform: Support teams through workshops on assessment architecture design and assessment item writing in various subjects

3. Collaborate with internal teams (Content Development & Pedagogical Research, Board Reforms, Assessments, etc.) and partner organizations (assessment vendors, experts, etc.) to deliver a high-quality collaterals

4. Manage regular engagement with key stakeholders for assessments and/or regulatory work

5. Track key policy developments on Board Examinations and trends at international, national and state level and support other team members providing consultative advice to Governments

6. Coordinate and/ or prepare policy briefs, fact sheets, background papers/ presentations and other targeted materials for meetings and conferences with key stakeholders

Education

– Strong academic background from a reputed institute with a Master’s Degree/ Specialized training in educational assessment and measurement. Candidates with a B.Ed. will be given preference

– Fluency in English is mandatory.

Experience

– At least 3 years of classroom or program implementation experience (especially in Teaching at the Right Level type of programs) in implementing formative assessments, data-driven instruction, and remediation

– Excellent people and project delivery skills, including the ability to create project plans, drive execution, manage multiple projects at a time, and maturity to influence multiple internal and external stakeholders
