Founded in the year 2013, Mantra4Change is a Bangalore based non-profit that works in the field of school improvement and education leadership development. Our approach towards this is by working directly with schools and clusters; enabling state and district governments to drive similar improvement initiatives; and enabling the larger school education ecosystem to drive school improvement by developing their capacity as well as sharing our learnings and solutions in the form of global public goods. Mantra4Change is currently present in 5 states – Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
Fundraising Lead
We are looking for a Lead to drive fundraising and donor relations. This role would excite you if you are passionate about transforming the public school system in India and evangelizing the idea of school improvement and education leadership development. You would enable all the other functions at Mantra to work smoothly towards donor engagement. As Fundraising Lead, the major roles and responsibilities would be as follows.
Roles and Responsibilities
● Scout, identify and prepare lists of donors (HNIs, CSRs) that align with the organization’s vision and mission
● Raise funds by constantly looking of for new fundraising opportunities
● Create strategies to sustain existing donors
● Conducting research on fundraising opportunities
● Writing, submitting and uploading proposals to potential donors
● Working with the team to prepare budget reports
● Working closely with teams to implement marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to raise awareness about the organization
● Organizing and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders
Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in PR, Fundraising, or any related field
● 3-5 years of fundraising experience
● Sound knowledge of the nonprofit sector
● Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills
