Position: Fundraising and Partnerships Lead
About Us
We are a policy ‘do-tank’, we believe in action. Indus Action is a Section 8 company, incorporated in 2013, impacting over 8 lakh lives by bridging the gap between law and action. We enable vulnerable citizens to access their legislated rights to step out of poverty.
The current scope of work at Indus Action includes access to education (Right to Education, Section 12(1)(c), access to nutrition (Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojna, under national food security act) and access to livelihood (Building and Other Construction Workers Act). Till now we have enabled children from low income families access their rightful seats in unaided schools, pregnant and lactating mothers access maternity entitlements and construction/ informal sector workers access wage loss compensation.
Our goal is to improve access and last mile delivery of welfare entitlement to 1 million families by 2025 and bring them on an irreversible pathway out of poverty. We will do this by creating a Portfolio of Welfare Entitlements/Rights that will provide the needed safety net for low-income families and safeguard their progress during any economic/ health/unforeseen crisis.
We are currently working in Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Raipur, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
