SELCO Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating poverty through the deployment of clean energy solutions across South, East, and North East India. We engage in field-based research and development, building ecosystems to connect sustainable energy with poverty eradication. Our work spans various sectors, including agriculture, micro-businesses, textiles and crafts, and healthcare. 

 

**The Role:**

 

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated individual to lead our Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) portfolio. This role will be instrumental in driving impactful and innovative programs focused on climate action and poverty alleviation. You will be responsible for structuring and managing MEL initiatives that generate valuable learnings for developmental practitioners and program designers.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Anchor and manage the end-to-end MEL portfolio of SELCO Foundation.

* Develop a deep sectoral understanding to strategize effective engagement and documentation of projects within the broader system.

* Lead critical studies and learning exercises to communicate key practices, approaches, and program strategies aligned with the organization’s Theory of Change.

* Stay abreast of emerging trends and narratives in the health sector and plan team activities accordingly.

* Lead and coordinate primary and secondary research, data analysis, and reporting aligned with the team’s agenda and focus areas.

* Plan regular opportunities to identify lessons learned and their implications for program improvement.

* Ensure seamless coordination across different organizational functions for efficient data monitoring and feedback loops.

 

**Ideal Candidate Profile:**

 

* Minimum 10 years of work experience supporting monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

* Implementation experience is an added advantage.

* Interest and experience in systems thinking, human-centered design, developmental evaluation, and other user-based study methodologies are preferred.

* Proven ability to integrate conceptual approaches and narratives with ground realities and develop study methodologies accordingly.

* Strong analytical skills and ability to process information to create compelling documentation cases for the health sector across SELCO’s geographies.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to resonate with different target audiences in the health sector.

* Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and meticulous attention to detail.

* Willingness to learn, grow, and develop at a rapid pace with a steep learning curve.

* Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment.

* Willingness to travel extensively in challenging terrains within and outside the state as required.
