About Indus Action
Indus Action is a ‘’do-tank’’ to bridge the gap between law and action with social justice at the center of our mission. Indus Action works towards securing a social protection safety net for vulnerable families by providing sustainable access to a portfolio of welfare entitlements. Our approach tackles multiple deprivations experienced by vulnerable families. It provides educational access to children, maternity entitlements to pregnant and lactating mothers, income and social security support to parents and senior citizens and universal healthcare to all family members to irreversibly move vulnerable families out of poverty.
Our teams are located in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Orissa, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu
Requirements
This would involve supporting the policy drafting, setting-up of the tech-systems and also creating awareness on the admissions under Section 12(1)(c).
Thus, we are looking for a team player who is a self-starter who can move forward goals through strategic conversations and understanding the needs of all stakeholders involved from State Government and CSOs. We want a person who can merge technical skills with soft skills, i.e.,
- Someone who understands the core tenets of research and what constitutes reliable data for public policy.
- Has experience of field work/grassroots work, or in any other grassroots organizing capacity.
- Having exposure of technology based intervention
- An ability to manage multiple work-streams that involve stakeholder engagement on the one hand and research and drafting on the other hand.
- Exposure to law/law making processes is a good value addition.
- 2-3 years of experience would be necessary in the development sector.
Knowledge and Technical Skills
- Ability to speak in Telugu
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and people skills
- Strong project and operations management skills
- Strong analytical (data/evidence gathering, analysis and interpretation, hypotheses framing and validation) and research capabilities
- Comfort with technology usage and products

Compensation
The range of compensation will be between 9-12 LPA depending on qualifications, experience and fit to the role and Indus Action’s compensation benchmarking rubric.
