**Position Summary:**
This role is responsible for innovating and implementing an agile selection process for Teach For India’s Fellowship program. The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding Gen Z, possesses strong data analysis skills, and can translate research into effective selection tools. The position reports to the Director, Fellowship Selection and directly manages the Manager, Research and Operations, and a Consultant, Selection Model Development.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Strategy & Research (20%):** Setting a vision for selection model enhancement, researching cutting-edge selection processes, and thought partnering with leadership.
* **Pilot & Experimentation (30%):** Planning and executing pilots/experiments to improve the selection model, collaborating with stakeholders and external partners, and drawing actionable insights.
* **Model Execution (50%):** Reviewing applications, conducting interviews, selecting candidates at Assessment Centres, serving as a Point of Contact for selectors/reviewers, and ensuring a positive applicant experience.
* **People Management:** Building a strong team, managing and coaching team members, driving engagement and retention, and overseeing a monitoring and evaluation system.
* **Coaching:** Contributing to team goals beyond individual responsibilities, driving internal alignment, serving as a Teach For India ambassador, and supporting organizational areas like recruitment and fundraising.
**Qualifications:**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
* Graduate degree with 5+ years of experience, including at least 2 years in a direct management position.
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
* Strong project management skills with a data-driven approach.
* Ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Preferred background in assessment design/testing/technology, human-centric design, research, data science, or advanced data handling.
