The Growth and Partnerships team is the revenue-generating arm of the EI Shiksha, a vertical of EI that exclusively works with low-income or government schools. It takes EI’s expertise in assessments, educational research, and technology-based personalised adaptive learning and builds solutions/programs/products contextualised for the B-o-P settings. This is done in collaboration with state governments, international grant makers, corporate foundations, and NGOs. Over the two decades, EI Shiksha has undertaken over 80+ projects with 35+ clients
(16+languages, 40+ detailed studies published) across geographies, socio-linguistic backgrounds in India and abroad, for more than 10 million students across different grades.
Role-Responsibilities:
- Raising philanthropic funding from international foundations, grant-making institutions and
bilateral/multilateral aid agencies (for e.g., USAID, UKAid, UNICEF, WorldBank) - Making winning applications to government tenders for large scale assessments, capacity building and learning software
- Raising funds from Indian organisations’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) allocation and engaging with them to co-create projects
Education:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in communications/marketing/literature/journalism or equivalent
Key Skills:
- Interest in and understanding of India’s education landscape
- Excellent English oral and written communications skills
- Ability to visualise and write concise and comprehensible content
- The ability to learn fast, and grasp Educational Initiatives’ model and business
- The ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently as a self-starter
- Being detail-oriented, with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
Experience:
- Freshers with a relevant degree and internship experience; or 1 years of experience in communications/ marketing/PR with significant writing experience
- Preferred: Work/fellowship experience in the education/development sector
Compensation:
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian development sector pay scales and will depend upon the candidate’s skills and experience levels.
