**Job Description: Manager, Acquisitions**  

**Location:** Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru

**Experience Required:**  

– Minimum of 4 years of full-time professional experience, preferably in client-facing roles.  

– Experience managing and coaching small, high-performing teams to achieve ambitious outcomes.  

– End-to-end project management skills, including vision setting and execution.  

– Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of individuals, including cross-functional and senior leaders (e.g., CXOs).  

– Comfort working in ambiguous environments and juggling time-sensitive priorities.  

– Entrepreneurial attitude, excellent communication, and writing skills in English.  

– Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs), Salesforce, and Canva is preferred.  

 

**Key Responsibilities:**  

1. **Narrative Building, Strategy & Donor Management (50%):**  

   – Implement strategies to drive fundraising goals across corporate, foundation, HNI, and alternative funding streams.  

   – Conduct landscape analysis to identify donor interests and recommend actionable steps.  

   – Manage large-scale strategic grants and build deep engagement with key partners.  

 

2. **Donor Intelligence & Communication Collateral (25%):**  

   – Develop compelling funding propositions supported by stories and evidence.  

   – Generate written communications, including proposals, reports, and presentations.  

   – Conduct donor research to inform strategy for influencing and motivating contributions.  

 

3. **Data Analysis, Project & Team Management (15%):**  

   – Utilize Salesforce and other systems to track progress and manage tasks.  

   – Build and allocate portfolios for team members, driving pursuit of funding sources.  

   – Leverage data to monitor fundraising goals and gaps across regions.  

 

4. **Operational Support (10%):**  

   – Process 80G/ cash receipt forms for donations.  

   – Manage calendar scheduling for senior leadership and foundation heads.  

   – Provide administrative support as needed.  

 

5. **People Management:**  

   – Coach and manage team members to achieve ambitious outcomes.  

   – Drive engagement, growth, and retention within the team.  

   – Oversee monitoring and evaluation systems to guide continuous improvement.  

 

**Additional Responsibilities:**  

– Contribute to organizational goals beyond individual priorities.  

– Serve as an ambassador for Teach For India’s mission and work towards educational equity.
