**Job Location:** Mumbai/Rajkot, India
**Job Summary:**
The Manager – ECD Programmes will ensure high-quality educational opportunities for all children enrolled in AKES, India schools/preschools across pre-primary and early primary programs (Foundational stage [3+2]). This role involves leading curriculum development and implementation, mentoring the ECD team, establishing new ECD units, fostering collaborations, and continuously assessing program quality.
**Responsibilities:**
* Oversee all curriculum development initiatives, aligning with Shishu Pahel Padhati/Highscope approach and the National Educational Policy 2020.
* Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate AKES, India ECD programs.
* Identify and address the professional development needs of ECD teachers.
* Promote effective teaching and learning through coaching, mentoring, and modeling.
* Facilitate schools’ transition to digital teaching and learning.
* Assist in planning and monitoring professional development for school staff and leaders.
* Train and support section heads/AKP Academic team for effective ECD program implementation.
* Conduct regular school/preschool visits to support quality improvement and mentoring.
* Prepare and review content for marketing and media.
* Ensure smooth integration of new AKES, India initiatives (e.g., ASQ/Read for Children).
* Document academic processes (ASQ, SOPs, assessments, etc.).
* Implement ECD program evaluation initiatives.
* Represent the organization at relevant forums.
* Collaborate with Special Educators to address the needs of pre-school children.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human development/early childhood/education, Child Development, or a related field. (B.Ed. is a plus).
* Deep understanding of early childhood development theories, practices, and pedagogy.
* 5+ years of experience managing academic development for a chain of schools.
* Teaching experience with expertise in professional development for teachers, quality assurance, assessment, and tracking.
* Experience teaching in an ECD classroom (KG-Gr. 2).
* Experience managing diverse stakeholders and staff.
* Familiarity with local and national regulations and policies related to ECD.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
