Job Description

The manager will be responsible for and support in ensuring efficient functioning of all environment education initiatives under Eco-Champs nationally. This position will involve overall strategic thinking, developing and executing all environmental initiatives, coordinating partnerships, working with staffs and trainers, and ensuring the effective delivery of environmental education content to children in a variety of settings.

Primary Responsibilities of Program Manager:

  • Ensure the objective key results of the program aligned with the organization’s mission and goals are met.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the program.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and trainers working with children and also responsible for goal setting and performance management of the team.
  • Monitor the progress and impact of the program, collecting data, and evaluating outcomes to ensure effectiveness and make necessary program adjustments
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and governmental agencies to increase the reach and impact of the program
  • Support initiatives including camps, fests and contests as part of Eco-Champs both at a strategy level and in leading operations
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, collecting feedback from participants and making necessary improvements
  • Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely reporting

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in project management and leading teams
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using software applications and digital tools for program management and reporting.
  • Passion for environmental education and a commitment to fostering a sense of environmental responsibility among children.

  • Ability to drive outcome oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
  • Good influencing skills , people engagement, networking and listening skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills– English
  • Good computer knowledge and MS office skills
  • Highly resourceful team-player, who is self-driven
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Willingness to travel – locally and nationally
