Job Description
Villgro wants a dynamic professional passionate about social impact, has past working knowledge
in the healthcare sector and with an entrepreneurial streak to help us build the women’s health
portfolio.
Role deliverables
Strategy:
• Build & execute an operational strategy to build the women’s health portfolio, in line with the sector’s 5-year goals & current program priorities
Deal sourcing:
• Actively network and build a pipeline of innovative social enterprises through strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders
• Conduct preliminary assessment and detailed due diligence on companies that fit with Villgro’s investment mandate. Conduct secondary research on market opportunities and study competitive landscape for prospective companies.
Program Delivery:
• Be accountable for the delivery of committed results and impact across relevant programs
• Actively manage and support portfolio companies including strategic advisory support to entrepreneurs on operations, and bring to bear relevant resources, such as subject matter experts, mentors, investors, and potential partners.
• Work closely with the Healthcare team including the sector lead, incubation manager and analysts.
Outreach:
• Be savvy about communication and visibility for the sector. Engage the marketing team to amplify through social media and other channels

The ideal candidate would have,
1. A degree in sciences, engineering, or business. A master’s degree would be preferrable.
2. Prior experience in the healthcare sector and be savvy about business operations in the industry. OR
3. Experience via large scale implementation projects and (maybe) knowledge of government engagements.
4. At least 5 years of professional experience, with exposure to startups or to MedTech operations or the VC sector being a great bonus.
5. Fantastic communication and persuasion skills to influence stakeholders.
