Project Chhalaang, an initiative by ELMS Sports Foundation, is seeking candidates for the position of Manager: Human Resources and Organizational Development. Project Chhalaang has a team of 35 individuals spread across 5 different locations having the head office located in Delhi. The candidate will be responsible for leading the organizational practices of recruitment and onboarding of the new team members, setting up cultural and organizational practices and guidelines for the existing team, following the organizational compliance related policies and guidelines, coordinating overall inter and intra team communication. Finally setting up processes and culture for the growth and development of the individual team members. The person will be reporting to Vice President – Project Chhalaang and will be closely working with the Project Chhalaang Leadership team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy;
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues;
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process;
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization;
  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions;
  • Nurture a positive working environment;
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program;
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics;
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management and ensure compliance with statutory and internal policies.

Desired Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR or administrative role preferably in the social development sector;
  • Basic knowledge of labour laws and statutory policies i.e. POSH, CSP etc;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Results-focused with a strong sense of ownership and ethics;
  • Enjoy flexibility in the role and is highly organised;
  • Openness to listen, eager to learn and contribute beyond the confines of this role;
  • Good knowledge of Google tools – sheets, slides, docs, forms, and other basic tech tools.

Proposed compensation range:

The remuneration will be in the range of Rs. 6,00,000 to 8,00,000 annually.
