Job Description

We are looking for a marketing professional, with solid experience in stakeholder management, who will collaboratively conceptualise, manage and execute ISDM’s marketing & communication strategies. This role involves working closely with all stakeholders at ISDM to input into their engagement and marketing strategies, collating and streamlining their marketing collaterals requests, collaborating with and managing the ISDM marketing team as well as external agencies or partners to develop and execute marketing strategies, materials, and ISDM’s design requirements, handling ISDM’s social media handles and ISDM’s website. While their main focus will be on marketing and other collaterals’ designing, maximising ISDM’s social media presence and engagement, and website management, they need to have a good understanding of digital and performance marketing, database marketing, PR, partnerships and events. They will ensure that all marketing initiatives are aligned with ISDM’s brand identity, messaging and objectives.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their marketing & communication requirements, to ensure that all marketing initiatives are aligned with ISDM’s overall strategy
  • Build a strong understanding of stakeholders, their requirements, their receptivity to channels, the comparative landscape, etc. and create a stakeholder map
  • Develop and implement a communication and engagement strategy, focusing on a combination of social media and website
  • Manage and enable the internal team and external partners to come together to help achieve the objectives, managing and running the social media calendar, overseeing the creative process for campaigns, including concepts, design, copywriting, and production, creating communication collaterals, etc.
  • Ensure that all communication collaterals are on-equity, on-target, consistent with brand guidelines, effective and high quality
  • Track and monitor marketing strategy effectiveness and optimize to continue building more effective strategies
  • Conduct market research and stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure that marketing campaigns and social media strategies are relevant and effective
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and freelancers to support creative needs and ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively
  • Mentor and manage a team of content writers, designers, copywriters, and other marketing professionals to ensure that they are working effectively and producing high-quality work
  • Manage budgets and timelines for all marketing projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget 

Experience & Qualification Required:

  • 8-12 years’ experience in marketing, communications and/ or engagement for the social impact sector, academic institutions, think tanks or consultancies
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, mass communications, journalism or management/ business administration
  • Excellent understanding of the social media space, creative marketing strategies & website management/ maximization; Competent understanding of digital marketing space, PR, partnerships, events and database marketing
  • Strong technical skills using Microsoft Office, and a good knowledge of Search Engine
  • Optimization and internet ranking for web content, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, social media platform analytics
  • Proven ability to lead and manage high performing, effective teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a flair for aesthetics and design, good copywriting skills, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven experience of working in complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, partners, timely and on-budget executions, and dynamic and agile work environments
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, have accountability, work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, and strong problem-solving skills
