## Job Description: Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation, Impact Hub
**About The/Nudge Institute:**
The/Nudge is an action institute dedicated to building resilient livelihoods and alleviating poverty. We work with diverse communities, including women, farmers, tribals, and youth, focusing on rural development, agriculture, skilling, and economic inclusion. We collaborate with over 15 central and state government partners.
Our economic inclusion journey has reached 10 states, impacting 1.25 million people with $250 million in government funding. Our incubator, accelerator, and grand challenges have supported over 200 social entrepreneurs, including 17 Forbes 30U30 honorees, 3 EarthShot Prize winners, and a Time Magazine cover recipient.

**Impact Hub Vision:**
The Impact Hub aspires to be a leading M&E and Knowledge center for the livelihood ecosystem. We conduct high-quality evaluations and research while serving as the Impact measurement and Management function for all T/NIs programs internally.
We partner with top-tier organizations (government, market, and civil society) and create knowledge products (evidence, insight reports, white papers, etc.) to generate actionable insights, with a particular focus on evaluations and action research.
The Hub is committed to staying grounded in field realities and continuously adapting to the ever-evolving ecosystem.
**Job Location:** Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
**Experience Required:**
* Master’s degree (focus on developmental studies, public policy, or rural development is a plus).
* 7-12 years of experience in the development sector, ideally combined with 2+ years of development sector experience in India or other developing countries (across rural/urban livelihoods, education, health, environment). Experience with incubation support, impact investing, or government engagement is desirable.
* Strong analytical and synthesis skills; experience in working with complex datasets and building analytical frameworks.
* Ability to apply theoretical frameworks to practical situations.
* Experience creating tools and managing on-field data collection.
* Enjoyment of working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
* Proven experience training and offering technical guidance to junior team members.
* Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
* Passion for making a difference and solving challenging problems.
* Comfort with non-profit sector salaries.
* Knowledge of Kannada is strongly preferred.
**In this role, you will:**
* Drive the design of an impact assessment framework for programs.
* Define the monitoring and evaluation framework for each program, including metrics and identifying factors driving or hindering data collection.
* Lead evaluations (including third-party and multi-player evaluations). The focus will be on deeply understanding outcomes to generate insights that refine and enhance work on the ground. The team will involve external stakeholders to maximize effectiveness.
* Create access to external data sets and impact information (both government and non-government) and integrate them with our data and knowledge to provide learning for our work and insights to the broader field.
* Be an integral member of a team recognized as a thought leader in the “Impact evaluation” space, influencing policy and practice through a deep understanding of practitioners’ perspectives rather than an academic viewpoint.
